Second leg of ‘Egypt-Nigeria journey’ unlocked
achievement thumbnail

We co-hosted the second leg of Africa Unlocked: The Egypt–Nigeria Startup & Investment Forum with Ventures Platform Fund Platform, this time in Cairo – continuing our shared effort to deepen collaboration between two of Africa’s most influential startup ecosystems.

The event also marked the fourth edition of Algebra Ventures’ signature Brunch & Business mixer, co-hosted with Endeavor Egypt, reaffirming our shared commitment to convening and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

We’re grateful to our keynote speaker, Emeka Onyia (African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), and our panelists – Nader Abdelrazik from MoneyHash), Tamer Bahgat from we.yan, Femi Iromini from Rank App (Formerly Moni), and Mahmoud Talaat from Cartona — for the thoughtful, grounded insights shared.

Building on our Lagos edition, the Cairo convening moved the conversation from thesis to traction, reinforcing one clear truth: Africa’s tech future won’t be built in silos – collaboration across markets matters. Since the last edition, AV has made an investment in Nigeria; and VP has deepened its engagement and presence in Egypt.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this edition a success.

Special thanks to our lead sponsor, Afreximbank, for its continued leadership in advancing intra-African trade and investment.

It’s still day one. The work continues.
