We kicked off the first edition of The Atlas-Nile Forum in Marrakech on the sidelines of GITEX Africa, co-hosted with our partners, Al Mada Ventures.
This is Algebra’s third time in Marrakech, and each visit feels like the momentum is building.
This gathering reflects something we have believed for some time: Morocco and Egypt share more than geography. We see overlapping strengths, including deep technical talent, accelerating digital adoption, and founders building with regional ambition from day one.
Algebra has already backed Moroccan founders and Al Mada has backed Egyptian ones. Several of our Egyptian portfolio companies also traveled to Morocco to explore what expansion into this market looks like in practice. These are not hypothetical conversations. They are the early threads of something we believe will compound over time.
We are grateful to have partnered with Al Mada on this event. We have already co invested together in Morocco, and they have been excellent partners as we have deepened our conviction in this market. This event was a natural extension of that relationship.
The founders are why we do this. Some of our best investments started as conversations in settings like these, and we can’t wait to be back next year.
A big thank you to our partners at Attijariwafa, Van Campen Liem and FMO for supporting this event 🚀🌍🤝
