Algebra Ventures announced the promotion of Laila Hassan and Omar Khashaba to Managing Partners during the firm’s 10 year anniversary celebration held at the historic Diplomatic Club in Cairo, marking an important milestone in the firm’s evolution as it enters its next chapter of growth.

The announcement took place during an event that brought together Algebra Ventures’ global network of investors, founders, LPs, policymakers, and ecosystem leaders to reflect on a decade of building alongside Egypt and Africa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Laila Hassan and Omar Khashaba joined Algebra Ventures in 2021 to help launch the firm’s second $100 million fund, expanding the partnership into a four partner platform alongside Tarek Assaad and Karim Hussein. Since joining, both have played an instrumental role in shaping the firm’s strategy, strengthening its institutional foundation, and supporting its expansion across Egypt and broader African markets.

The announcement comes at a defining moment for Algebra Ventures as the firm celebrates ten years since its founding and looks ahead to the next chapter of backing founders building category defining companies across Egypt and Africa.
