We’ve increased our investment in enza through its USD 6 million Seed+ round, led by 4DX Ventures, with British International Investment joining as a new investor. Quona Capital, with whom we co-led enza’s seed round in 2025, has also invested again. Our follow-on investment builds on that partnership and our growing confidence in the company.
Led by Hany Fekry, Hamish Houston and Andrew Key, enza provides payments infrastructure to banks and fintechs across Africa. Its platform helps financial institutions offer locally relevant payment services, including cards, wallets and real-time payments. Through a single integration, banks can expand their capabilities while retaining control of their merchant relationships and data.
When we first invested, the team’s experience in building, growing and exiting payments businesses across Africa was central to our decision. They understood the institutions they wanted to serve and the challenges of operating across different regulatory and commercial environments.
Since then, working with the team has strengthened our conviction in the business. enza now serves banks and fintechs across 12 African countries, putting that experience to work across a growing customer base. We’re returning as investors because we see the foundations of a lasting business and want to continue helping the team build it. Increasing our investment supports that long-term partnership as enza takes on its next stage of growth.
The new funding will support expansion into additional markets, the licenses needed to serve more institutions and further product development.
We look forward to continuing our work with Hany, Hamish, Andrew and the enza team as they bring their payments infrastructure to more financial institutions across Africa.
